Welcome Island Shack: Employee Door
Knock, knock! Who's there? It's us, the friendly employees!
We've noticed golfers have been rummaging through the Shack, so we've added a door that clearly states 'Employees Only'. Those are the rules!
New: Walkabout Wristwatch Update
⌚ Designed for accessibility and utility, the new watch builds on existing functionality to create a powerful toolset for players to enhance their in-game experience.
The initial launch includes:
Visual Cursor: Players can now quick select wristwatch functions with gaze tracking and single controller, one button input.
Quick Mute: Whether to mask a sneeze, call, IRL conversion, or… other noises… mute is now one quick click away.
Current Player: The current player name now appears listed on the wristwatch display in multiplayer rounds.
Mighty Magnifier: When accessibility settings have the magnifier active, a toggle button allows players to quickly enable/disable the feature for comfort and context.
Activity-Aware UI: With the growing variety of activities such as foxhunts, slingshots and more, players can now reference their wristwatch for status, clues, and even select collectibles. Note: Players can toggle foxhunt clues off.
Instant Replay: Duplicating the B/Y controller button map, we've added an additional way for players to intuitively replay shots.
Activate CocoVision Camera: Quick access to our new in-game camera. Read on for more details!
Introducing: CocoVision Camera
📸 In partnership with LIV— the makers of creator kits for VR— our team is happy to unveil our latest addition to Walkabout Mini Golf for players on LIV-supported platforms (Quest/Rift/Steam): CocoVision Camera. This in-game camera offers players a new toolset for capturing Walkabout content, notably:
Camera Capture to Gallery: Media is directly exported to players’ gallery.
Quick Stills and Videos: Grab pics, clips, and longer-form video as you would from a phone or tablet… in hand, positioned on the course, or floating nearby!
CocoVision Selfies: Say cheese! In addition to a forward-facing mode, selfies allow players to talk directly to the camera.
Locking and Offset: Not only will players be able to capture a first-person view, they can now offset and lock the camera over their shoulder, adjacent to their avatar, or even to a random point in the course to capture gameplay and hijinks alike.
Motion Smoothing: This key feature solves a prevalent issue for platform-level camera capture: unstable and erratic views. Whether in first person or offset positions, the CocoVision Camera can have motion smoothing applied to ensure smooth pans and pivots, and quick actions such as flying.
NOTE: CocoVision Camera is only available on platforms where LIV is supported. CocoVision Camera is currently exclusive to Quest, Rift, and Steam.
NOTE: CocoVision Camera is experimental. Players may experience issues with performance or bugs while capturing.
